SALES GIRL SUMMER: How Sales Girls Play with Macy McNeely

Macy McNeely, Kathryn Shubert and Loy Day Episode 316

Your Sales Girl Summer is loading....

“My business is slow right now because of the recession.”
“I’m taking it easy this summer, I want to make memories.”
“No one really buys in June or July, so I’ll pick it back up in August.”

Do any of these sound familiar? They’re quick simple statements that tell a deeper story. The story that you don’t have control over your outcomes. The economy does, your customer does, your kids do (woah).

And let me ask you, because maybe you haven’t realized it; how does it make you feel when you think someone else has control over your outcomes?
Defeated?
“Why try?”
Like you can’t get ahead if you wanted to?

This is the path most people go down in the summer. They enter maintenance mode, which, like cruise control, can only “maintain” for about 5 seconds before the ditch is the destination.  Maintenance always leads to decline somewhere. I guess it’s not maintenance mode after all.

This does not have to be your summer story.

YOU can decide right now to take the wheel. You are a winner, in the driver's seat, who knows where they’re going. That every bump and turn and detour teaches you a driving lesson.

In today's episode,  Macy covers:

  • focusing on the game instead of focusing on the scoreboard
  • what playing actually means
  • learning to love whatever it takes
